Your prepaid debit cards might be in danger of getting blocked!

Old JazzCash and Easypaisa Atm cards become useless with many others from 1 January 2020!

If you live in Pakistan then there is a

chance that your prepaid debit card might be in danger of getting blocked because as of 1 January 2020 State Bank of Pakistan has blocked cards without EMV chips.

Which will make all the previously issued debit cards useless. So if your are using old JazzCash Visa card or Easypaisa debit card then it's time to order new cards with EMV chips. Also some banks and microfinance banks have also issued cards with no EMV chips.

Check with your banks about the new cards and get yourself an EMV card.

This new step has been taken by SBP to ensure safety and to ensure tracking of cyber crimes and data theft.
