Cons and disadvantages of Daraz Seller account

 These are some of the cons and

disadvantages of Daraz Seller account. While some of you might not agree on this but these are the things that I and others have endured. While we are not saying all is bad on Daraz as a seller but sooner or later you will agree with these disadvantages or cons of Daraz Seller account.

So these are some of disadvantages or cons of Daraz Seller account:-

1. High Commission on Sold items:-

So you might know that daraz promotes as seller friendly but you will be shocked that in most cases daraz charges as much as 30% on items sold via Daraz Seller account which is a lot considering that daraz only handles listing and shipping but categories like fashion and jewellery has a high percentage of Daraz commission.

2. Non defined VAT Taxes:-

On every item sold on daraz you as a seller have to pay a VAT tax but daraz never have defined how much! They can charge you anything and you can't do anything about it.
Sellers complain that sometimes daraz charges half the amount of the items as VAT taxes in the name of logistics and handling!

3. No Respect for Seller:-

Many times seller face fraud from buyers. Many of the times buyers try to scam sellers by sending wrong items in return and daraz accepts these as return. 
Even when sellers complain about it with proof Daraz always deduct return from seller account and never help seller in guarding his merchandise from fraud buyers.

4. Return Scrapping:-

I never could understood this. Why are items scrapped after 3 to 4 days like does your loss mean nothing to daraz?
Even the smug managers send you sms!? Like can't daraz use Whatsapp for informing sellers about the return?
Loss is loss and daraz should evolve from call, email and sms communication because call and sms messaging don't work if you work from a place where there is a network connecting issue.
Email on the other hand gets crumbled among spam emails so I would say whatsapp is best for informing about returns as you can always check the messages when you connect to the internet.

5. Limited Daraz Hubs:-

I don't know about other cities but in lahore daraz has only 4 to 5 hubs in whole city. Are these enough? Absolutely not.
Is every seller selling items that has good profit items? No while most sellers are selling good on daraz, some are at low tier merchandise level meaning they are selling items for 100 to 200 rupees.
Now i ask you. Can you afford the shipping to daraz seller hub while selling 200 rupees item? No you can't even if you get 4 to 5 orders you can't ship an item across Lahore on your own personal convince.
Daraz should open small hubs for small sellers.

6. Failed Delivery:-

When you send someone a package you are not only paying daraz commission but also you are spending petrol, packaging material and your time but daraz don't care about that. They simply write failed delivery and again make your online business in loss.
While failed delivery is always the mistake of the buyer due to address mistake, communication error with the courier or any other reason. You pay for someone else's mistake.
