ecommerce shopping store in Pakistan. The site is well managed and well advertised throughout social media and on television but a site that is built on trust, the site fails to secure safety concerns and also isn't really safe to use.


Pakistan still doesn't have ecommerce giants like Amazon and eBay. So Pakistanis have to rely on other similar rip offs from local Pakistani cubicle companies.

Here are my top reasons why I consider Daraz.pk a scam, fraud and a waste of money and time.

1. Poor Verification Process:-

Around the world online stores verify merchants through different means. Some go through identification verification. Some via billing and postal verification but daraz.pk verify merchants by a purchase of simple shipping supplies!

If you wanna sell on daraz.pk then you simply have to make a seller account and purchase expensive shipping supply from daraz.pk. 

That is it! Any scammer can sell on daraz.pk. Without a proper identification verification how can your money or you be secure?

2. Payment processing:-

Payment processing is the next thing that make daraz.pk's activities suspicious. If you wanna purchase something from daraz with your debit or a credit card then you are out of luck! Because after you hand your sensitive details to them they don't process your transaction but put it on hold or cancel it for security reason.

Why on earth would you put an option of credit card or a debit card? Take all the sensitive  information! And then cancel the transaction because of security concerns?

If that doesn't scream scam then I don't know what will.

3. Poor products on daraz.pk:-

Many products that are advertised on daraz.pk are so poor quality that most of them don't work and many are not what is advertised on the site.

There is no support. Meaning if you got something completely different from what you ordered then you are stuck with it. The seller obviously has your money and daraz.pk don't care.

4. No Strict Policy Against Scammers:-

A merchant can scam you anyway possible without any serious consequence. You got a damage handsfree well too bad there is no dispute center on daraz. You just have to pray that you can sort things out with the seller.

Many products on daraz.pk have bad reviews but the store dont interfere in anything. There is a 7 day return policy but that is it. You have to rely on reviews and ratings posted by strangers and Many of those ratings are from bots and spammers.

5. High prices for shipping supplies:-

Does this sound right to you? 20 paper envelope sized bags for 500 rupees? NO!

Well daraz.pk shipping policy requires you to deliver products in their shipping supplies sold by daraz.pk. Many items are overpriced and sometimes more expensive then the product shipped.

Daraz.pk blackmails merchants to purchase shipping supplies for verification purpose which you can easily do with a utility bill like the rest of the world.

There are many other problems with daraz.pk but people wanna save money and time so they trust these online stores for safety but they get scammed.
